Karina & Alfonso married at Our Lady of Assumption in Turlock CA. Karina contacted me a while back in June of 2009 about her upcoming wedding. Unfortunately Karina's sister Gela was battling a brain tumor cancer and did not survive. The family suffered a terrible loss but they keep her in their hearts everyday that goes by. The Family has created a team in honor of their sister named Gela's Wish for the 2012 Brain Tumor Walk-SF. To donate please visit Karina's team site at Gela's Wish.

Two years later the Franco Family is celebrating with joy the marriage of Karina & Alfonso.
I so wanted her Christian Louboutin shoes!

Karina's parents are so cute! They hold a special bond since Karina is the baby of the family.

The beautiful sisters.

Isn't this little cuttie adorable?

Always love Mariachi's at church.

Love his shoes!

Gotta love that natural window light... heavenly.

The Gorgeous ladies

Ok they were having way too much fun! LOL

The Guys

So serious!

In memory of Gela, Karina had "Faith Hope Love" Gela bracelet as wedding favors to her guests. Gela's image along with a candle burned during the ceremony as well as the reception. Gela's pressence was truly missed but felt.

The maid of honor gave a huge toast, Literally!

An emotional father daughter dance. :( Yes I was crying too.

There was an empty chair reserved for the angel of the wedding. It was decorated with a huge white bow in honor of Gela.

Right before sunset we went outside for some pics with her beautiful long hair.

They danced all night to "Banda La Preferida"!

Guests enjoyed the late night snakes and the fun photo booth.

Venue: Vintage Gardens
Catholic Ceremony: Sacred Heart Catholic Church
Gigi and Camilo had two ceremonies. The festivities started with their Catholic ceremony at Sacred Heart in Turlock and the Reception followed at Vintage Gardens in Modesto. Gigi mentioned to me that her grandmother married at night and barefoot. "My grandmother was a "rebel" for back in the day" Gigi said. She knew that in some way she wanted her to be with her. So they had their ceremony at night, barefoot of course just like her grandmother.

As I was checking up on my bride I caught this precious moment of her and her father right before he gives her away.

Their children stood next to them as they all married by the Catholic Church.

A lovely pigeon release.

The night ceremony... bare foot.

Gigi's brother played some Santana songs with his electric guitar during the ceremony. It was an amazing experience. So romantic.

Gigi looked super sexy in her Salsa dress! The couple choreographed a couple songs for their guests.
